end
on a high note! when the last
delegate has taken his leave, you might find it difficult to mobilise enough enthusiasm and commitment to end on a high note. but you never can tell: it may be that the last your guest sees and does here will sow the seed for new partnerships, networks and congresses. practical tasks in the concluding phase ? exhibitors take down their booths ? organise clearing up and removing equip- ment ? close the accounts, collect outstanding debts and pay the last of the bills (unless you have hired the pco to do this) ? process any complaints
without delay make sure you have a complaints proce- dure ready. assess your congress. did the event meet its objectives, goals and criteria for success? listen to your colleagues: ? what are the main reasons for what you achieved: results/success/fiasco? ? what works well? ? what can you improve on? ? which of the suppliers would you use again/recommend to others? ? do any activities have to be added to the check list? ? was there anything you would have like to have been warned of? 34
