honor episcopal school of baton rouge senior soccer player skylar yegge has been selected for the united soccer coaches senior excellence award. according to united soccer coaches, student athletes must be in their senior year and be a leader who contributes to her team with a positive attitude. yegge has started for the knights for four years and is a versatile player on both defense and offense, where she was a leader in assists. park forest middle school wins class got br ass competition brass musicians from park forest middle school put on a great show for the class got brass competition at the congo rhythms festival in armstrong park. they performed their hearts out for the new orleans crowd and won first place for the beginner?s division, taking home a $5,000 gift certificate from the new orleans jazz & heritage foundation. led and directed by doretha williams, park forest middle brass band has won three times. class got brass was started in 2012 to address the lack of funds for music education in the schools and a lack of emphasis on traditional new orleans music in many school band programs. four runnels seniors named
