at belfair montessori magnet school led a school-wide project to collect 10,000 bottles of
water
for the families in flint, michigan who were in serious danger with lead-poisoned
water
. their goal was more than doubled as they collected over 25,000 bottles! everyone got involved to help load the bottles into donated fedex truck services to rush the
water
to the beleaguered community in michigan. the flint
water
crisis has involved a controversy of lead contamination that has created a serious public health danger after the town changed its
water
source from treated detroit
water
and sewerage department
water
to the flint river.
