. a systematic review revealed that daily tooth-brushing is the best-docu- mented intervention for the prevention of plaque, caries, periodontal di- sease and halitosis. in addition, interdental brushes are effective for cleaning between the teeth. similarly, dentures, like natural teeth, must be kept clean and free of plaque and calculus on a daily basis. the article presents an overview of the most commonly occurring disor- ders of the
