on the american platform in 2016. ?e

gives an overview of key aspects of
wind
energy
engineering. ?ere has been a mix of scientists, pro- fessors and researchers involved to create material through the most fundamental disciplines of
wind
energy
research, such as
wind
measurements and resource assess- ment, aerodynamics,
wind
turbine technolo- gy, structural mechanics, materials, financial and electrical systems. several thousand participants merete badger, senior researcher at dtu

energy
has been in charge of the

, which she calls a major success: ?we had been talking about the

for several years but now we wanted to put it into action,? she says and continues: ?we hoped that the public would wel- come the

atlas for south africa (wasa) project for the western cape and parts of the northern and eastern cape marked an important milestone in south africa?s renewable
energy
efforts. wasa is implemented as a research and capacity building project with sanedi as the executing agency and dtu
wind
energy
as a main partner, providing the methods for calculating
wind
and extreme
wind
atlases. other partners included csir, saws and uct (csag).
