45 / 76 morsø // much has happened since morsø in the beginning of the 19th century provided the royal chambers with french empire style stoves. since then several danish designers and architects have left their mark on the popular wood-burning stoves. one of the earliest was the architect kaare klint, who in 1944 designed a very distinctive wood-burning stove for morsø. the stove was decorated with a poem from the famous danish author johannes v. jensen, who was awarded the nobel prize in literature that very year. since then the silversmith sigvard bernadotte, known from georg jensen’s silversmiths, enriched the collection with several designs, and most recently, creative danish artist and designer
